President Ndayishimiye calls on churches  to serve as a foundation for Development

The Head of State, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye and the First Lady HE Angeline Ndayishimiye  joined the Christians of the Mutoyi Parish, Gitega Archdiocese, in a sunday prayer held on December 13, 2020, the third advent sunday .

In his adress, the President of the Republic thanked the missionaries and leaders of the Mutoyi parish, for their exemplary contribution in the development of Mutoyi area. He also invited all the churches of the country to serve as a real source of development as does Mutoyi Parish.

The Head of State particularly congratulated Father Roberto Monti, Head  of  the Mutoyi center, for having been dedicated to the well-being of the population of Mutoyi in particular and that of the country in general, a center that made this parish a model in the development of the country, through its products. He encouraged him to continue those innovative projects and initiate others for the development of Burundians and Burundi.

H.E President Evariste Ndayishimiye requested the Christians of the Mutoyi parish to implore the Almighty so that he continues to protect Burundi. He also asked this same population to support him with prayer so that he may properly accomplishes the mission entrusted to him by the Burundian population to govern the country and serve as a good father of the nation.

The President of the Republic finally promised to continue supporting these good works carried out by Mutoyi parish as well as the construction of a bridge connecting Gihogazi commune of Karusi province and Mutoyi hill, of Bugendana commune.
