H.E Angeline Ndayishimiye visits KAGE Company


The First Lady of Burundi, Her Excellency Angeline Ndayishimiye, paid a visit on May 10th , 2021, to KAGE Company (Kaze Green Economy) owned by the young entrepreneur Kaze Delphin. The latter manufactures wood or charcoal briquettes from biodegradable waste.


In her speech, Her Excellency Angeline Ndayishimiye, congratulated and encouraged the initiators of the project which not only contributes to the protection of the environment but also to the creation of jobs for young people.
The First Lady of Burundi said that in the objectives of OPDAD-Burundi and the Bonne Action UMUGIRANEZA Foundation, which she legally represents, includes the promotion of the development of young people and women. Thus, she invited all the young people of Burundi to explore the talents that God has given them, in order to develop and contribute to the development of the country.


KAGE company, which was founded in 2017, now has 42 employees and has a production capacity of 28 tons of briquettes per day, but due to a lack of sufficient energy, it produces 5 to 6 tons and 3 tons respectively charcoal and wood briquettes.
